Eliseo, a 13-year-old boy, is initiated into love by Felipa, his school teacher. After discovering her relationship, she leaves town, leaving him mired in nostalgia. Forced to marry another woman and lead a routine life, Eliseo spends the years remembering his affair with Felipa until, ten years later, the woman returns to remove his wounds.

The CCC First Feature Contest allowed him to debut in fiction with La mujer de Benjamín. In 2003, his film El crimen del padre Amaro was nominated for the Oscar to Best Foreign Film.
